Some great pics from an email...

Mike thinks these two kids look like me and him. Funny eh? They kind of do. This is us in June when we go to Myrtle Beach. We even have chairs that look like these. Too funny!
Warm Fuzzy for the day!! NOTE: NOT MY BABY!
I got this photo in an email today and I just love it.

Totally not my kid but it's so cute.

Just wanted to tell everyone that STEROIDS rock. I feel GREAT! I didn't sleep worth anything last night and I'm still up tonight but I feel GREAT! WOOHOO.

I totally need to go to bed. Please let me sleep tonight. :)

I thought I'd take a tylenol PM but I don't have any.

I'm making the commute to Cumming tomorrow. On tap for the weekend is MS WALK on Saturday and BBQ party on the new deck at Donna's house.

Sunday will be some stuff around the house and a drop into work for a few hours in the morning. I'm making up some hours and trying to finish up a project that has been suffering since I've been working at two locations for the last month.

Happy Friday to all--Hooray for a nice weekend!

The scoop on poop (sorry no photos)

I haven't been feeling well and I went to the doc today and he asked me "how aggressive" did I want to be in treating this crud (sinusitis). I said VERY because I can't miss anymore work til vacation and this is RIDICULOUS! He gave me some steroids and today was like a double dose and now I'm WIRED, albeit feeling much better already. So, tomorrow I'll just be tired and not sick....or sick and tired...we'll see. I've been wanting to blog about a funny experience we had (well, not so funny at the time) this weekend. In reference to other bloggers "poop stories" I have my own to share.

On Saturday evening my husband left the house for a Prom Charter without giving the dogs a respectable walk. If you remember it was a nasty, stormy night. I was out late on my playdate with Missy and Graison. Now, Freckles our border collie FREAKS when it storms. The standard Op procedure around here is to close off bedrooms and the hall bath when we know it's going to rain as she likes to get in the bathtub or under things she can't exactly get out from under again later. Darling hubby whom I LOVE...did none of this. Yes, I know he was in a hurry and going to work....but still it's a doggie world around here and standard ops were neglected.
I came home to a puddle by the door...ok no big. But then was hit with a terrible smell. As I searched for the poop I knew was somewhere I realized Freckles was in the bathtub. Max was giving me the "oh, uh uh don't look at me I didn't do it....this time" and rushed off to his "spot".
I walked in the bath to find Freckles in the tub and it looked like there had been a Mud wrestling show and she lost. Except, it wasn't MUD....UGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!! I can't blog about the phone call my hubby then received. It would look something like this !@#$%^&*!!!!! !@#$%^&*()@#$%^. As I said it was late and I was trying to get Lindsay settled, changed and down for the night so I closed off the dog and left her to her "mud" bath and finished getting the baby down. Mike was a trooper and came home after his charter and spent the better part of the night/morning cleaning my bathroom, bathing the dog and washing the hall floors. I failed to mention above that Lindsay's bath tub was inside said Muddy bath tub so her stuff and toys were COVERED as well. This was the part that freaked my freak! So Mike I LOVE you for cleaning and disinfecting all that mess. I could not have done it. So you ask, what's the funny part??? Fast forward to Sunday morning. Lindsay needed a bath before we were off to Zoe's birthday. Daddy had everything all clean for us (thank goodness) but mommy still had mental images of poop horror and it was HARD to put her in that tub even though I knew it was disinfected and RE-disinfected by daddy. As I was just washing Lindsay's hair I see, wait for it....floating POOP. She pooped in the tub for the first time ever! That day of all days! I could have died. So of course you know I yelled "DAAAADDDYYYYY!!!!!" When he saw the poop in the tub I think it was something like "You've got to be kidding me?" Lindsay of course smiled her huge gummy grin thinking DADDY must be PROUD OF ME!
I took that cue to put her in the big tub rinse her down and leave daddy for the clean up...again.
(I know, not fair but someone had to dress the baby). As you might imagine it was VERY tempting to take photos for this post but I just couldn't go there. I have to say that Mike was VERY good about coming home and cleaning up the mess. He did feel badly about it and certainly never expected Freckles to have that kind of an episode. I have no idea what we're going to do with her. It seems that the storm episodes are getting worse and worse. If anyone has any ideas for this please feel free to comment. She's an old girl (14) so she sort of does her own thing these days and we're just supposed to deal with it. So that's our poop story. Hopefully we won't have any others til it's really time for potty training. Thank you daddy you were a real trooper! Love you man!

More photos from the weekend

Lindsay and Graison played very well together.
Graison is learning her body parts right now. She knows all of them. Here she is showing Lindsay where her toes are!
G & L share the pony!
Lindsay takes a solo ride. We may have to get one of these for her soon. Not quite sure where we'll put it but after watching Graison I'm really wanting one for Lindsay! FYI everyone....watch those consignment sales!

I wasn't going to blog tonight as I'm not feeling very well. On top of old MOTHER NATURE and the cyst I now have a sore throat and feel like I'm coming down with something. However, Missy sent me these pics via email today so I had to post them really quickly.

Lindsay is down for the night and I'm off to bed in hopes of dragging myself into work tomorrow.
Goodnight!

Weekend Update- Zoe's First Birthday

Meet Zoe! Happy First Birthday Zoe!
Graison digging in to a cupcake.
Graison is messier than the birthday girl! SO CUTE!
Me, Zoe and Lindsay together. Lindsay didn't mind mommy holding Zoe as long as she was being held too!
Daddy and Lindsay playing together at the stand up table. Lindsay is not standing on her own yet or pulling up. We're still working on scooting around on our bottom and the half crawl. But these pics look good, don't they?
Lindsay really liked this toy at Zoe's party.
"If I can't have cake..."
Happy Birthday! Zoe, her daddy and her Uncle Paul blow out her candle.

This past weekend was very full and a lot of fun. Saturday we did Gymboree again and then went and spent the day at Graison's house. It was a good day for an "indoor" play date.
Sunday we went to Zoe's first birthday. Zoe is my sister in law's sister's baby. (got that?) This was Lindsay's first "friend" birthday party. Her invitation came in the mail addressed to her. VERY CUTE! We had a good time visiting with everyone and enjoyed celebrating Zoe's first birthday. Zoe was actually at Lindsay's first party. Last year at my baby shower Zoe got to meet everyone. She was just two weeks old. WOW, how time flies! Zoe has two older sisters and her mommy is has one more sibling on the way! WHEW! That is why she is such a good sharer of her toys. Thanks for having us Jessica. Lindsay had a blast!

Friday the 13th!

Well, so far today has been an uneventful Friday the 13th! I'm not complaining either. I left work a bit early and came home to lay on the heating pad for a bit. I have another ovarian cyst (second one in a month) so I have been feeling a bit uncomfortable the last couple of days. I worked a LONG day yesterday and was at the Forsyth hospital today so I was glad to get out of there.
It seems that for whatever reason my body is in this mode where the cysts are coming back on a regular basis. For those of you that don't know this was the main issue we had trying to conceive and partially the reason it took us 2 years! Anyway, my doctor started me on this new pill that is supposed to be stronger and hopefully will stop this from happening to me every month. We already decided to put off "trying" for number 2 until the end of July so this is not such a horrible thing. The pill is a 90 day dose so it kind of all worked out. Hopefully it will work. It's making it difficult for me to stick with any kind of workout program when they keep telling me not to run, walk on the treadmill or do anything to aggravate it. I certainly don't want to end up in the ER again so that leaves weight training and watching what I eat more closely (yeah right).
We're really hoping that if we can get a pill that works at keeping the cysts at bay we can go off at the end of the summer and my body will be ready to get pregnant again.

I was truly hoping that this issue was going to just "go away" as mysteriously as it showed up. My doc thought I was joking when I told her after number 2 I wanted a hysterectomy. I can't imagine why she thinks that is not an option for me it's not like I'm in my 20's or early 30's. I can tell that is going to be a fight down the road. Guess I'll cross that bridge later.

In lighter news Lindsay is doing well. Those top teeth still have not popped through but she is doing much better than a couple of weeks ago. She really had a great Easter and has been experimenting in all sorts of new table food. It won't be long now before we'll be done with jar baby food. Which actually kind of worries me. It seems easier right now when we're having an off night to just open a jar rather than worry about cooking or if she's getting enough to eat. I'm sure it's just another transition and we'll get used to it. It's time for Mike and I to get more adjusted to a regular dinner hour. Sometimes limo business hours aren't condusive to scheduled events such as breakfast, lunch and dinner. HA!

My only freaky Friday experience today was kind of funny. The first paperwork that crossed my desk today was on a patient named "Michael Myers"....(remember him from HALLOWEEN)? My co worker and I thought that was kind of spooky.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Adam!!!!!!!!!

Today is our nephew Adam's 5th birthday! I love this picture because he's wearing the snoopy sleeper I bought for him. He looked so cute in it!
Here is Adam on his first birthday. Uncle Mike had to lay on his stomach in the grass to get this shot but it was worth it. "Move over, there's a new sherriff in town"
Adam and his brother Derek on Halloween 2004. No words can describe how cute this photo is! To this day I think it's one of the best photos of Derek and Adam we have taken.

Adam on Halloween 2005. Mike and I loved that Red Devil costume. We asked Adam all night long "what are you Adam?" His response: "I'm an ED DEBIL!" The cutest ever!!!!
Uncle Mike with Adam and THE WOODPECKERS at Disney World!
Adam and Lindsay 7/06
What a great BIG COUSIN you are!
Happy Birthday Adam!
We love you!!!
