We've Ruined Her!

Once upon a time I could ask "do you want dessert?" She would say "Yeah" and yogurt or a fruit cup would suffice! Now when we ask her that question she simply says..."CHOCOLATE PLEASE!?" Lindsay with her latest addiction...CHOCOLATE!!!

Easter Sunday 2008

Have Easter Bunny....ready to go to Church!
We tried to get some good pics at church but lil miss wasn't in the photo mood (like for the last week). Found out on Monday she had an ear infection so I guess that is why.
The Fam
Still not smiling...
Grandma & Grandpa give it a go.
Since we had to get up and out early for Mass we decided to let Lindsay open her Easter Basket at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She really liked all her stuff. Mostly small toys but also some of her fave candy. She's very into smarties, mini m&m's, peeps and choc. bunnies this year.
The best gift she got this year was her ears. She just loves them as you all have seen over the last few blog posts!
She got away from mom as we were trying to change clothes. I won't even say what this pic looks like but I thought it was funny.
Her Bunny Romper was a big hit. Again, she LOVED wearing the hood and having EARS!
Along with all of the Easter festivities we celebrated Derek & Adam's birthdays. We usually do this every Easter as Derek's falls on 3/30 and Adam 4/11. The boys loved their cakes and of course all the bday presents and attention!
Derek displays his newest toy from Aunt Agatha and Uncle Paul!
Typical Adam! I tell you this kid never takes a bad picture!

We had a very long but fun day on Easter. That weekend was actually very full of fun! It seems there's just not enough time on the holiday's to get it all done!

UPDATE from the week: Lindsay saw the ENT again and the left tube APPEARS to be unblocked now. PRAISE THE LORD the 50.00 a pop teeny tiny tube of ear drops (that we've refilled twice) appears to be working. HOWEVER, now the right ear looks a little "moist". So, we're now doing the drops on the right side for five days and then going back in two weeks to follow up once again. How is it that every other kid gets tubes and sees the ENT again only after they fall out? So over the 25$ copay every visit to sit for OVER an hour in a closet of an exam room to see the hurried doctor for five seconds. GRRRR....but I digress. At least we seem to be doing better now and Lindsay's mood is MUCH improved. Mike and I were just saying it feels like we have our kid back. So that is worth it!

We have an ultrasound this Tuesday so be on the lookout for some new bambino photos.
We still have not settled on a name. We're kicking around Katie (Kathryn), Laura, Sarah and oh fifty million or so others that we don't "FEEL" are right. I can't believe another girl name is so hard for us.

This weekend has been quiet. Lindsay is at camp Grandparents since yesterday so I could get some cleaning and organizing done. I also took a four hour nap yesterday (that should tell you how much cleaning and organizing got done) but I feel so much better today. I really needed the catch up on sleep after this last week anyway. So I'm trying not to stress over it.
I could seriously do a work vent here but suffice to say that I'm extremely happy I have a three month vacation coming up. I seriously have felt like walking out for good lately. Some things are going to change in that part of my world once this baby gets here. It's time to be closer to home! I'm stuck right now but that won't be the case for long. I'm tired of catering to other people and their feelings. IT'S WORK PEOPLE!!! The time to take care of me is right around the corner and I'm going to do it...FINALLY!

Easter

I was resting with my feet up last night and didn't get my Easter pics up on the blog yet. However, I noticed my brother-in-law got his done. So for those of you that don't check him out on a regular bases click HERE for some fun pics from our Easter Sunday at the Bresnan's.

Dave got some cute pictures that I missed. We enjoyed spending time with everyone again, it's been a while. Derek and Adam are growing up so much. I can't believe Lindsay will be that age before I know it!

I'll try to get some of ours up soon.

Have a great day everyone!

More Eggs...

Saturday after the egg drop and haircut we went to visit Grandpa Dubois. Lindsay brought him some of her Easter art work.
Lindsay & Grandpa spend some quality time in the rockers. She was a hit with everyone in her ears, again!
Tonight we tried something new in the bath tub. The Easter Bunny brought Lindsay this fizzy egg for her bath. It fizzes when wet, turns the water purple and inside is a tiny baby dinosaur.

Here you can see the egg is almost fizzed out. The tiny dinosaur head is about to pop out.
This did NOT go over well at all!!! No DINOSAUR!!! She wanted out of the tub and NOTHING to do with it. Once again I've scared my kid out of taking baths.
However, once we got out we wanted dinosaur again. Here he is...Mr. Purple dinosaur. "Dinosaur okay" says Lindsay!
I truly thought the fizzy egg with the dinosaur would be a fabulous idea for some bath time fun! We even got one for Lindsay's BFF Graison. Turns out we heard from Graison's mommy and she reacted just about the same way as Lindsay. Her mommy had to remove the dinosaur from the bath before she would let her wash and rinse her hair. OOPS...sorry...bad idea for the 2 and under set I'd say!
It was pretty funny though. Mike and I had a pretty good laugh tonight.

Egg Drop + First Haircut = BIG DAY!!

Early this morning the park by our house sponsored an Easter Egg DROP...never heard of that before? Well, the Easter Bunny HIMSELF drops eggs from a helicopter down onto the field. After several successful passes the gates are opened and the kids flood the field to pick up eggs. Here you see Lindsay waiting patiently with Daddy for the helicopter to come.
Mommy & Lindsay take a photo op!
Here comes the Easter Bunny...look closely...
Lindsay loved waiving to the bunny way up high. She also clapped and cheered when the eggs would drop. Too cute!
Here you can see the eggs falling from the sky.
Lindsay jumped right in. No problem. I guess one Easter egg hunt at school and she knew just what to do.

Hurry! Find more CHOCOLATE!
Sorting through the loot looking for chocolate.
I'm ready...bring on more eggs! Her shirt says "Bad Hare Day". One of my consignment scores! She loves her "Easter Bunny Shirt" and she will tell you so!
Thanks Easter Bunny! We have figured out the art of getting what we want! For the first year the egg drop went ok. It was a bit unorganized as far as getting the kids divided up by age. Some of the older kids were pretty disappointed they didn't get a lot of eggs. We took all of Lindsay's bubble gum and hard candy and gave it away to the bigger kids we saw. I guess they did not expect the turn out they got. 20,000 eggs did not go far. Next year they're saying they will do it on a high school football field and drop 50 or 100,000 eggs! Pretty cool. It was a nice day and we were able to just walk over to the park and walk home so we didn't have to fight the traffic at the very least! That was NICE! So after the Egg Drop we went to lunch at our local BBQ place (a mommy craving) and then went and got Lindsay her FIRST HAIRCUT!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exhibit A: Last time to see the crazy bangs in her eyes! She really needed this!

Check out the look on Mike's face. This is the death stare to me saying "I TOLD you I didn't want any length cut off!!" The hairdresser was just "evening it up a bit" she barely cut any length. TRUST me, I was watching!
The place was cute. They had a race car and a pony to sit on but Lindsay was too nervous. Daddy's lap was the safest! So Daddy and Lindsay both got capes and off we went!
What a BIG girl!! We cut in some bangs but there is still plenty enough to put in Lindsay's classic pony tail look! Only now her fringe bangs will be ABOVE her eyes instead of in them! Mommy is very happy that now, if we want, we can just brush hair and go. We don't HAVE to HAVE a pony tail or bow in our hair to see! YAY!!! Daddy's getting over it slowly.
Here we all are with Lindsay's First Haircut Certificate which includes a little pouch with a lock of those pesky bangs!!!
YAY!! Another Milestone!! Don't worry Daddy you have another little girl on the way to grow long, luxurious locks of hair!!

21 Months Today

I can hardly believe in just THREE short months Lindsay will be TWO!!

This is Lindsay one year ago. We were at the mall to see the Easter Bunny!

Here we are this past Sunday in her Easter finest. She boycotted pictures and although she TALKED about the Easter Bunny ALL DAY...she refused to see him once we got there!

My tired bunny! Check out her very cool Bunny Ears from her cousin Donna! Thanks Donna, she LOVES to wear them!!

My fave bunny ears pic from last year...my goodness how she has changed!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend!

Long awaited Monkey Joe's Pics (3/8/08)

These are pics from Missy's camera! She got some great shots. I still need to put up some of mine when I get around to it. Thanks M for emailing these to me! Peek-a-boo! Just love this shot of Linds!
I See you!!Where's Graison? "I don't know..." This is such classic Lindsay.

Finally loosening up and having some fun. We were VERY scared at first! Graison had a blast jumping around. This was one of her still moments. Check out how long those pony tails are getting!
The girls jumping together!
Just before we left...the girls are all bundled up but they had to ride the elephants!
Taking turns driving and eating popcorn!

Well, no big surprise who's been sick again....ALL OF US...I got a stomach bug late Monday night and was home yesterday sick, sick, sick. Mike thinks he's getting it now and Lindsay has WAIT FOR IT...an EAR INFECTION!!!!!!!! Seriously...can we get a break at the Bresnan house? I'm buying stock in Lysol wipes, spray etc....so over this! Looks like we're trying out more ear drops and another 10 day course of antibiotics on Miss Lindsay. She goes back to the ENT next Friday and if the tube is not unblocked they have to unblock it. That does not sound fun to me. However, I do think they do it in the office and it isn't another surgery. I think? I'll find out more next week. Poor Linds just can't catch a break with her ears! I sure hope this next baby girl doesn't inherit this issue.
OB appt went well today. It was a quick in and out this time. Good measurements, good heartbeat, good weight gain for mom. I go back in four weeks for the dreaded "sugar test"! Hated drinking that nasty stuff the first time. But, I expect to pass and not have to do the three hour test. I feel for anyone who has to do that. Good excuse to have Mike take me out for steak the night before!! YAY PROTEIN! Now I have to decide where I want to go! :)
Looks like the next appt or the one after will be the big PICK THE BIRTHDAY appt too. We'll see....I can't imagine we'll actually get to schedule it at 26 weeks but she said maybe we will.
My next ultrasound is APRIL 1st so we'll have more pics of the littlest Bresnan soon. We're still mulling over names.
Just in case any of you are looking for Lindsay's Easter photo shoot I mentioned last week. Well, that was a bust. Little did we know she had an ear infection but she just didn't do great and I had a HORRIBLE experience with my photographer at Sears. That is a story for another post but suffice to say I left without spending a dime and got no pictures. I'm thinking we're just going to order more school pictures and take our own pics on Easter Sunday when she's all dolled up. It's not like we don't have a zillion pics of her or anything. Besides, that will give me more money to save for the big 2 year birthday photo shoot in June. Plus, I'm hoping to do some belly shots with Lindsay at that time too. I think I'll just save the moola this go around.

Ok, so you got a wordy update too. Hope everyone else is having a good week. More pics soon!
