Hello Bloggers! FINALLY! I haven't been able to post pics in two nights. Blogger had a bug or something! Last Sunday we went to visit Grandma & Grandpa and check out the pumpkins in their garden. The kids had a great time picking out pumpkins. This coming Sunday we're heading to the Mother of all patches Burt's Pumpkin Farm! I'm sure we'll have lots more pics from there. We're also taking Linds this weekend for some new portraits. She'll be 16 months on Saturday! It's been a tough week in the Bresnan house. Lindsay has not been sleeping well. We've been having to incorporate some TUFF LOVE and let her cry it out in the middle of the night. It's been VERY hard on us. We got through last night with only one cry out and it didn't last long. Previous episodes have been two hours at a time. We're hoping for another quiet night tonight!

Boo Boo Bunny

Well it's only been 2 years but I finally got the opportunity to pull out the "boo boo bunny". I got it as a shower favor at my friend Missy's baby shower. Lindsay knocked her noggin pretty hard on yes, folks the TOILET. She was into a cabinet in the bathroom that is not "hers" and as she was in a hurry to scurry from mommy's grasp she knocked her head on the ol' porcelain god. After a few minutes of using boo boo bunny on her forehead she got the gist and took care of herself. My big girl!

Lindsay decided Mommy's boo boo needed some ice too. What a hoot she is at this age. She copies EVERYTHING and is repeating tons of words now. I heard her say "meow" for the first time today. She also has added apple, down, cheese and MAX (finally) to her vocabulary.

She really has become a little MISS INDEPENDENT in the last couple of weeks.

Ok...I'm up late because I was watching SNL because my MAN JON BONJOVI was the HOST tonight. GO JON! Anyone else stay up and watch. VERY FUNNY SHOW. I'll blog about it more later. I've got to hit the hay. PLEASE, PLEASE let Lindsay sleep through the night tonight. :)

Smokey Falls Lodge in Maggie Valley North Carolina- I forgot to take pics of our rooms on the inside but I can tell you they're HUGE and very cozy! We'll absolutely go back and stay there again. Check them out if you're in the area! Call ahead because they stay FULL!

A stray dog that we thought was SO sweet. For a fleeting second I thought about bringing her home. Then I came to my senses!! Trust me when I tell you that two dogs, a cat, a baby and Mike and I are MORE THAN ENOUGH souls in our house. We did however let some people know that she was down there and they called the local rescue.

Pictures don't really show how well she was walking. She went from KK to Lydia here in this photo. Miss Lydia and her hubby own the lodge we stayed in. I'll post more pics of that in another post. I also have video. However, I have tried twice to post via blogger and it acts like it's going to work and then tells me that there is "no connection". Not sure if it's cause I'm on dial up or if my video isn't in the right format. My dear hubby is going to help me with it this weekend. One way or another I'm going to get video up on this blog if it's the last thing I do!! Be patient with me folks.

Today was a much better day. Lindsay went to school and she slept through the night last night. Here's hoping for two in a row. Thanks to you all for your sweet comments and well wishes for Lindsay. I think the new antibiotic is kicking it.

Daddy would like a disclaimer that we were on a private driveway in another state and we were not driving very fast at all.
Objects in Mirror may be closer than they appear... ...AND LOUDER... Aunt KK & Lindsay were in the back seat looking out the window together. Mommy took these last three shots from the front seat using the rear view mirror. Pretty cool experiment.
This is cool but driving was WAY better!



So mommy is home today with Lindsay. Not a good start out to an already short week. Lindsay was up last night within two hours of going to bed and didn't go back down til 5 a.m.
There was a lot of screaming and crying (from Lindsay too). Just kidding. Mommy and Daddy tried to tag team it but it was just UGLY. Daddy had to drive today so Mommy took Lindsay to the doc to have that ear re checked. As suspected it's not better so we're moving up to a more powerful antibiotic. We also got a flu shot today since they were out last time we were there. Let me tell you Lindsay did not bargain for that. I bet she sleeps tonight! Oh, and just to clarify she hasn't had any fever with the ear infection that is why they went ahead and gave the flu shot. Apparently it's a good day to be out of daycare since more than half of her class has been out sick or gone home sick since last week. They have a very low attendance today and are sanitizing the toddler room. That makes me feel a little better about missing work today. Although it's never good to call out the day after vacation. Thankfully, my boss has a one year old too and he GETS it.
I'm off for a nap myself. Stay tuned for more pics. We took over 130 photos...
