It's MY BIRTHDAY!!!

Today was my birthday, I choose not to say what year, the important people know and it's MY BLOG so I can choose which details I choose to leave out! :)
The kid's and Mike, Paul and Agatha took me out to dinner. This was my "MOMMY" card and Mike did well to choose PEANUTS wrapping paper to wrap my gift in.

Most people say the women in my family can not keep a secret. So now I know that Lindsay comes by it honestly! She revealed my gift to me at the restaurant while we were waiting on our table. And YES it was something I really wanted BADLY!

I am opening it now...look at the anticipation on my face!

WAHOO!!! Bon Jovi's greatest hits which is what I am sitting here listening to as I blog!

All I need now is for them to come to town and someone to buy me the tickets!!!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
Mom is very happy!!

Congratulations To ME!!

10/15/2010

Today I took my driving evaluation test that the neurologist recommended so that I can be on the road safely; and should I have a wreck that hurts someone I can not be sued for medical reasons if they choose to look into my medical records ie: aneurysm, seizure etc. The place the doctor suggested did not have an opening until December and they don't take insurance so they charge 580.00 for an exam! I looked up my DMV and called and explained what I needed, and they told me they could take me out for an hour for 60.00 or 2 hours for 125.00. Since I was feeling confident that I could drive well I went for the one hour test. I did Awesome! Sarah my test driver said I was very aware of my surroundings and my speed. She took me to an area that I was not super familiar with and I was able to navigate the curvy road well. I stayed in my lane at all times and felt very comfortable behind the wheel! Although Mike says I have to work my way up to driving with both girls in the car when they are a little older and a little less annoying in the car. He has a hard time tuning them out when they are yelling and thinks that I would as well. So I am now Blessed by Mike and a professional to drive my Honda again and have a little Independence back! Now I just have to get him to clean out my car! LOL!

Pre-k week 2 and other stuff...

The girl who said on the first week "I don't have any time for those SILLY boys", came home yesterday and said "Mom, I met a boy today!" My heart dropped. My first thought was, Oh no not yet!! But the real story was Lindsay was playing with her friend Mia and Mia got out of her seat and a little boy came over and sat down in Mia's seat and asked Lindsay if she wanted to play...awww(how sweet) so Linds said yes and then Mia wanted her seat back from Ashton and Lindsay told her I am playing with Ashton now. LOL! Even in pre-k there is drama I suppose.

So I am heading off this weekend for a church retreat until Sunday afternoon. I have a nice short list of honey do's that I am leaving for Mike while I am gone. I am really looking forward to meeting all the new ladies that will be attending the retreat. I hope that I can be a good hostess to them and help them fend off their worries as much as my retreat sisters did for me in February. It is a very intense weekend and there is a lot to do and very little sleep. I am up for it though! I have a speech I have to give and it deals with my life, my beliefs and sprituality and somehow I realized yesterday that August 4, blew by me and I didn't even think about my anniversary of the aneurysm (2 years ). I have been so caught up in Lindsay starting school and my retreat that I had not even thought about it until I started working on my speech some more. I am proud of myself for that. Because that wasn't at all how I felt in August of 2009.
