The Good, the Bad & the ugly...

Here are some other pics from the photo shoot on the beach. When we first put Lindsay down in the sand she was very unhappy. Here she is crying b/c that piece of green beach vegatation is terrifying her. (we've had issues with grass, trees & leaves over the months).
Mike didn't want me to post the cry picture but I still think it's cute. She is SUCH a happy baby so when she does cry she MEANS it. I think she's a beautiful baby even crying. Maybe it's a mommy thing but I still think it's cute.
Here we are pointing at the kite someone was flying nearby. This really helped change the mood.
Here is Lindsay in her excited happy or excited angry pose. She gets all stiff and shakes her arms and straightens her legs. She does this for both emotions. It cracks us up.

Itsy bitsy, teenie weenie, tie dye bikini!

Some pics from the trip home...

The girls heading into lunch!
What a BIG girl!
Lindsay is wearing her "day at the beach" outfit. LOVE the hat!
If you can't tell in this photo we were playing a game called "Are you Smarter than a ONE year old?" Lindsay tossed her toys and eventually her paci off the right side of her car seat (over & over again). Grandma decided she was going to put an end to that. Lindsay had dental floss tied to her paci and then attached to her car seat for the trip home. Lindsay didn't seem to mind playing with the string and Grandma didn't have to worry about her tossing it anymore. WIN/WIN!
(don't worry...she was constantly supervised with the dental floss as Grandma was sitting next to her the whole ride home).
We got home Sunday evening and we're all very happy to be home safe & sound. It's good to be home! We're still doing the ton of laundry we brought back and getting back into the grind. Everything is pretty much back to normal, although our cat is still not "speaking to us".
They sure hold a grudge when you go out of town. Silent treatment bites!
When I have a bit more time I'll post a hodge podge of a few of my fave pics that didn't make the blog. As if you haven't had enough Lindsay photos we're almost a week out from the big BIRTHDAY and then the big BIRTHDAY BASH! It's going to be wild people!!
On a side note: here's wishing MBKIMMY lots of luck on the birth of her baby girl. She's probably already here by now. If anyone has any info please send it my way! Can't wait to see some photos. Here's hoping those itchy hives go away as quickly as they came!

Our last day at the beach!

Today was our last day to "beach it" so we decided to bite the bullet and rent an umbrella and stay for longer than we have been. We managed to keep Lindsay from getting burned but mommy lobsterfied her legs today.
Daddy made lunch for everyone and brought it down to the beach. Here is Lindsay really enjoying her turkey sandwich!
After some serious body surfing Linds just couldn't hang anymore. Daddy was able to settle her to sleep even with all the distractions on the beach.
This is Daddy's fave pic
Grandma, me & Lindsay relaxing by the sea.
We had a great day today. We got a late start out to the beach (none of us are early risers) so it was about noon before we hit the sand. We managed to stay out about 3.5 hours before we called it a day and hit the showers. We took some really nice family pics on the beach earlier this evening. I'll post those next. Then we went to THE BEST restaurant we've been to all week. It's called Cedar Hill Landing and it was PHENOMINAL. Value and volume of food was incredible. If you frequent M.B. it's in Murrell's Inlet and it's all the way at the end. They weren't extremely crowded and the scallops were AWESOME! It was so good we have decided to hit it for lunch tomorrow on the way out of town. MBkimmy you have got to try that place out when you are ready for a night out after the baby! It wasn't on your list but if you haven't already you HAVE GOT to try it.

Bathing Beauty

Lindsay is sporting her next bikini. This was a gift from our neighbor before we left town. She got lots of comments at the pool this morning on this suit. Can you tell from this picture she's starting to tan a little??
Lindsay is all lotioned up and waiting to go to the pool.
Our resort has so many pools we haven't even been to them all. We tried the beach out this morning but the water was a bit rough today. It made mommy nervous so we went back to the pool and the lazy river.
It's nap time now and mommy & daddy are heading out for a movie and dinner! Today is ONE WEEK til our five year anniversary so we're sort of celebrating it tonight. Grandma and Grandpa are staying in with Lindsay tonight and having their own fun time!
Tomorrow is our last full day here. We're planning on as much beach time as we can get. It seems about two hours a day is all any of us can handle. I will say MB is very different from Florida. It's cold here. The water is cold and it's windy. The only place we died of heat was Charleston. I know if we were in Daytona right now that would not be the case.
Happy Friday!

Pics from Charleston 6/7/07

We spent Thursday in Charleston. It was about a two hour drive over from M.B. We did a combo Carriage tour and Harbour tour. We were SO hot we did not take a lot of photos.
Lindsay really enjoyed the boat ride. She was able to get out of the Bjorn and play a bit.
We finally got a photo of all of us together.
Lindsay was so tired! She crashed as we were walking back to the car from the Marina.
We did manage to go through one of the straw markets and Mike found a cool charm for my bracelet. We saw some gorgeous houses and lots of sights. We really should have taken more photos, especially of other things than Lindsay. Oh well....what can I say?
We ended the day with dinner at The Boathouse. It was pretty good. Lindsay ate tilapia for the first time.
I would definitely like to do a four day weekend in Charleston and really spend some time walking around. We got a good impression of the city in only one day but I'd like to go back.

Wed 6/6/07

Lindsay sporting her third bathing suit at the beach.
We've had many "firsts" this trip. Here is Lindsay's first popsicle.
Yummmmm!!!
We need a dip into the ocean to clean up!

Hanging out on the beach towels & covering up a bit from the sun.
Heading in for nap time with Grandma & Grandpa
Mommy loves this pic of Lindsay from the restaurant at the pier.

Having a great time...wish you were here!
