38 Week Appointment!

I had my last OB appt today...probably my last EVER! After this I'll be back to the once a year girlie deal. LOL!

Things went well but nothing is going on. Seems if I were not having a C-section I'd be looking at another week or two. SOOOOOOO glad that is NOT the case.

Tomorrow is my LAST DAY of work!!! I can't believe I finally made it. Two months ago I thought I'd die before this day came. Things have settled down there and to be honest there have been so many other things to worry about I haven't really cared anymore about the petty work stuff. I'm sure that will all still be there in October. For now, I'm very pleased with the fact that the girl covering for me is doing a great job and I should come back to work in the Fall with no issues.

So we still don't have her named. BUT, we're sort of considering three and maybe we'll just see which one of the three we think she looks like. We've typed them in WORD, written them on paper and we're staring at them and thinking. Maybe one of us will have an epiphany between now and Friday morning and we'll actually go into the surgery with a name. I will say we have something new cooking that we both really like. However, we want to be sure before we tell anyone.

Mike's appt yesterday was sort of disappointing news. As of yesterday it was looking like the doctor did not want to do the next surgery laproscopically. However, he left Mike a message today about possibly prepping for both types of surgery (laproscopy or old fashioned cut you open surgery) and going in and looking around first. If things look uncomplicated they will save him the cut surgery and his recovery would be MUCH shorter and better. If they find it's too risky they will just cut him open again, remove the mass and we're looking at another 5-6 day hospital stay and a 4-6 week recovery. Either way we're planning for just after the baby's Baptism about six weeks into my maternity leave. This way I'll be up and around from my surgery and Mike will have time to recover a good bit before I go back to work. The timing couldn't be better but we're PRAYING that we don't have to go through another hard surgery. Maybe this will be the one thing he finally gets a break on. I'll keep you all posted as we find things out. A decision will probably be made in the next week. The doctors all know we're having a baby this week so they're really trying to work with us. WHAT CRAZINESS huh? The one good thing is by the time I close my hospital stay we should have reached our out of pocket this year. I'm sure my insurance company is loving us this year. Lindsay, Mike and I all having surgery in one year. Nice. Let's just hope baby girl has no surprises in store and she is all healthy and good.

I really hope this time next year we're sitting on a beach watching our girls play in the sand and wondering how we ever got through it all!

P.S. I know I'm only supposed to count wedding anniversaries now but...
Today is the TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the day Mike and I met!
Love you Babe!!!

You sound like you're ready for all of this that is coming at you in the next couple of weeks. Kudos to you for finding a great replacement at your work. Between you and me, drama happens in all work facilities and whether you're there or not as I've learned recently.

I'm praying for your family. May God bless your family and see you through these next weeks.

Don't worry about a name. When you give it a rest, it will just come to you! Try asking Lindsey which name she likes. It might suprise you. :)

I am bummed, I wrote a nice long comment and hit the wrong button and DELETE. Drats!

I'll try to recreate it, you know pregnancy brain isn't the greatest! LOL

I hope that you and Mike are able to get through the next few months of healing so you are able to enjoy your two little girls.

Congrats on making it to your LAST day of work! It sounds like you've found a replacement that is going to be able to keep up with how you did the job so you won't have to worry about anything, that makes it all so much better. I haven't worried about work since I left last week. Although I have had a few phone calls and emails come my way, but I'd rather answer questions now than wait until I get back to fix a mistake!

Happy 10 year anniversary! We still celebrate our 1st date anniversary. I think the date is important because with out it we wouldn't be where we are today!

Best of luck to you on Friday, I can't wait to hear from you after she is born. The next few weeks are going to be crazy for us! I won't be able to update from the hospital, ours doesn't offer wireless connection so I will have to wait until I get home. I will check on you before I go in on Tuesday morning.

Best of luck to you, prayers heading your way!
