MY TRIP TO ANDERSON, SC 9/2-9/4/2011

Over the Labor Day Weekend I went to visit my friend Kim and her kids' in Anderson, South Carolina.http://Anderson, South CarolinaFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Kim and I have known each other since the third grade, and thanks to Face Book we have gotten back in touch. The photo above is her oldest daughter Samantha with her boyfriend Reid just before we all went to the Home Opener Clemson Football game!

Kim also has 2 daughter's, the girl on the left is her youngest daughter Kaytlyn and she is 10 years old, she is standing with her friend Shelby who also went to the game with us.

Samantha & Reid who are both 15 unfortunately Reid was only in town for rthe weekend as well, he lives in Virginia.

Kim and I have our photo op, she loaned me the Clemson visor to wear with my ORANGE shirt! I had a blast at the CLEMSON GAME!! It was better than ANY OTHER College game that I have gone to! Thankfully, Clemson won against TROY!!

This is Kim with her boyfriend David, he and his son Austin also went to the game with all of us. We tailgated before the game with some drinks and KFC! I really loved Anderson, I thought it was very beautiful and I would love to live there as well someday.

Here is a pair of "Irish Twins" (11 months apart) They were so cute dressed as a cheerleader and a Quarterback, their parents let me take a photo of them. Origionally, we were all supposed to go as a family to see Kim, but Mike got a job and Lindsay had school so I had to go alone.

This is the FAMOUS HOWARD'S ROCK. The tradition is all the Football player's enter the field first by rubbing the Rock and then they run down the giant hill into the stadium, also called Death Valley!

Here is a clearer shot of Howard's Rock!

Here is another group of what I would call "EXPERT TAILGATORS" that we dropped in on as we made our way to the stadium. They had music, a satellite television to watch the game on and we hung out watching the AUBURN game before our game.

"ROMEO & JULIET" waiting with us for the parade to start.

Everyone still waiting for the BAND to come down the street!!

Another little "Tiger Fan" I just had to have a picture of, the families here are DIE HARD TIGER FANS!!

Finally, Here comes the CLEMSON TIGER BAND!!!

C-L-E-M-S-O-N GO TIGERS!!!

The Cheerleaders with the TIGER MASCOT!

The GIGANTIC TIGER PAW flag!!

MEMORIAL STADIUM CLEMSON UNIVERSITY (Frank Howard Field)

Also known as DEATH VALLEY because there is NO SHADE anywhere in the stadium!

The Drum Major's of the band...

76 Trombones!!

Kim & her daughter Kaytlyn watching the band!!

I took lot's of pictures for my nephew Derek of the drum section!!

The Clemson Team runs down to the field after they all rub Howard's Rock.

Here is a photo of all of the Close to the stadium tailgators, whereas we had to walk a good 30 minutes from our spot to the stadium!! :(

The release of all of the Orange Balloons!! So COOL! GO, FIGHT, WIN!!

I was trying to take a photo of all the balloons as they floated away.

A photo of all ol the Orange on the Home Side of the Stadium and it truly was the Death Valley for me, I had to leave after the 2nd quarter and go back and join the other tailgators.

GOOOOO TIGERS!!!!

Here is another Lindsay that I met at the other group's tailgating spot, except she spells her name LYNDSEY, totally different than how we spell our Lindsay's name. But she and I really hit it off. She was a wonderful person! She works with "special ed" children.

Kaytlyn, Kim, David, Austin in the back (David's son) and Shelby.

In final, I can say I am a total Clemson Fan at heart now! Thank you Kim and your girls', I had such a great time and thanks to Samantha for giving up your room for me. I can't wait to see you all again. Next time we'll have to make it a family trip so you can all meet my Brooke and Lindsay and Mike too of course. Maybe we can set something up for next summer in between my girls' birthday's!? Also, I am so sorry that I missed your parents Kim. They really need to be in town next time! Tell your mom you made the somgalion for me! I can't wait to taste her new version. Your's was great Kim and I am so happy that I got to meet David, Reid and the two pups also!

It was a great trip, but I was so happy to get back home to my family!! Lindsay ran to the car to greet me and we picked up Brooke and all enjoyed an evening at my sister and brother-in-law's in Ellijay. (another hour and 15 minutes in the car!!)

Take Care! Thanks for supporting Lindsay's fundraiser, we really appreciate it!

XXXOOO!!

Love,

Chris, Mike, Lindsay & Brooke
