SICK!!!

Hello Bloggers,

Just a quick update. I'm still sick...got even sicker. Yesterday I never got out of my pj's and today the only reason I did was to go to the doctor. While I was at the doctor Mike had Linds at the pediatrician. She has a double ear infection (big surprise) and is in pretty good spirits considering. No ONE got any sleep last night. Mike had to work tonight and I was so sick he took Lindsay to his parents for the evening. Turns out now she's out like a light and they're just gonna keep her for an overnight. It's her first time for a sleep over at Grandma's. I hate that she's sick and I'm not with her but frankly, she's in marvelous hands and I've been feeling so awful she's better off not around me.
I slept from 4-8:30 this evening and now I'm a bit jazzed but I'm heading back to bed now with the hopes of a good night's sleep and the plan of making it to work tomorrow.

Looks like we'll be seeing the ENT soon and talking about a January date for getting tubes in Lindsay's ears. So, not looking forward to that. I hear it's the way to go though instead of all these nasty infections. Anyone that's been through it feel free to comment here about your experience. Thanks!

More soon, I promise. Have a good week all.

P.S. Happy Birthday Missy!!! Hope it was a good one!

I know the feeling with the ears. Luke had an infection for 6 weeks straight. Finally cleared and then 5 weeks later another ear infection. It took 7 antibiotics and two shots to get it clear. Thank God he has been clear since mid-November, because our ENT was waiting around the corner. Hope you feel better soon. I am sure that Lindsay will be a angel at Grandma's....they always are according to my mom.:)

So sorry to hear that you are both sick. We are sickly too! I have had Morgan at Urgent Care and the Ped all since Sunday night! She has Pneumonia (or however you spell that)! Not fun! Although I do have encouraging words for you. Morgans tubes were a breeze! She was back to her normal self about an hour after we got home. Best thing ever!!! So, my advise to you is to not worry too much about. I know that no mom wants her baby to have to go through any surgeries or sickness, but tubes were a breeze compared to the ear infections that Morgan has been through!!!

I agree with Mel and Katie, Caroline's tubes were a total Godsend compared to all of the ear infections she was getting. Liney slept right after and was then right back to her old self. You don't want to have to be worried about any hearing loss either, you'll be glad you did once it's over.

I had to have tubes and my Mom swears by 'em. I hope Laney doesn't follow in my foot steps.

I hope both you and Lindsey feel better real soon!

Thanks everyone! I'll keep you posted. We're waiting til the new year to do anything as we're maxed out this calendar year with benefits. I don't want to have to cough up a 250 deductible at Christmas. I guess we'll call and set up the first appts for early January.

So sorry y'all are sick and I pray you get better soon. I've never had any experience with tubes, but from what everyone else says it sounds like they are worth it!

Btw, David and I are sick too. We are going to the dr. tomorrow : ( Boo for cold weather.
