Back To School 2012-2013 Year

8/1/2012  Lindsay's first day of school!  Brooke is still in her pj's because she does not start Pre-K until 8/6/2012.
Pretty girl with her new Thirty-One back pack that she loves.
Here she is from the side so we can view the new First Grade Back Pack!

We are so happy that Lindsay got a great first grade teacher and several of her friends from kindergarten are in her class this year as well!  Brooke is a bit resistant to start school this year. We'll see how she does with drop off on Monday!
We can't believe that BOTH of our girls are in school full-time this year!

KINDERGARTEN EASTER EGG HUNT 3/30/2012

Lindsay's class lined up waiting to go fetch their numbered Easter Eggs!
Each student had to bring in a gallon milk or juice jug so they could make their Easter Buckets for the Egg Hunt! Mom is standing behind Lindsay and from L-R is Shania, Lindsay, Nathaniel and Emma. Dad is of course taking the photo.

Ms. Chee-How counted them down 3, 2, 1...There they go!!!

Each student had a number on their bucket matching the number's on the eggs they are allowed to hunt. Lindsay was number 8, so she got to pick up any egg with an 8 on it. I thought that was a pretty cool way to make sure all 19 kid's got the same amount of eggs! :)

Lindsay in action!

It was just about to pour at the time of the egg hunt, Lindsay's class was very lucky. Just about the same time they got finished it started to rain and none of us got wet.

Lindsay's friend Emma in action looking for all of the number 9's!

Meleah looking VERY serious as she is searching for her eggs!!

Lindsay is very excited because this egg contained Mommy's nemesis PLAY-DOUGH!

Mommy was worried that Brooke would feel bad, since she was not part of the egg hunt. So Mommy brought Brooke her own special egg from our stash of leftovers at home and surprised her! Look at her SMILE!!

Lindsay with her class "Bestie" Meleigh!

Meleigh and her mommy and baby sis were just about to head home for the day.

Thank you Sarah for the made from SCRATCH beautiful Easter cookies you brought in today and thank you for sending us home with some leftover's.

Mike and I took the girls tonight to the city of Acworth for one of the first night time Egg Hunts around. They were giving flash lights to the kid's and sending them out in age groups from ages 1-3 and kindergarten thru 2nd graders, then everyone else thru grade 5.

I will post photos from that adventure next. Unfortunately we were running late and the flash lights were all gone but, at least the girls got some eggs. Brooke's age group went without her so Daddy sent Brooke out with Lindsay's age group so he could watch them both!

100 DAYS SMARTER!!!

Today 1/20/2012 was the 100th day of the 2011-2012 School Year.

The kids got the opportunity to dress up as if they were 100 years old.

Lindsay borrowed a purse from Grandmama and a shawl. We wanted to put her hair up with baby powder in it and she changed her mind and would not let Daddy do it.

These are photos of Lindsay before she went to school.

Lindsay poses all of her girly girl poses. I went to school and had lunch with her and not many children dressed up though.

I am glad Lindsay at least attempted to have some school spirit and did not mind going along with the fun.

Here she is After School posing again for Dad.

Now she models the hat and necklace she got to make at school!

The hat is HUGE!!!

She is definitely 100 days SMARTER! We are so proud of how much she is learning in Kindergarten! She gets smiley faces EVERY DAY on her conduct! She is reading to Brooke quite a bit!

Indian Princess Lindsay Lou-Chow11/17/2011

Lindsay came home from school today in her costume for Thanksgiving! 11/17/2011
Sometimes we call her Lindsay Lou but I felt it fitting to call her Lou-Chow because her teacher who spent a lot of time on creating these for her class her name is Ms. Chee-How.

Lindsay has this pose down pat! She likes to pop out that hip and look all sassy!

We also want to send a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISH TO THE GIRLS UNCLE DAVID TODAY!

WE HOPE IT IS A GREAT BIRTHDAY!!

LOVE,

THE BRESNAN FOUR!!!

11/16/2011 Boston Kindergarten Classes Celebrate Thanksgiving 2011

Today we got to go to Lindsay's Thanksgiving play that was put on by her class and two others.
They did such a fabulous job! After the play we went back to her classroom for a feast. Here is one of her Turkey's that she made in class.

We brought Aunt KK and Brooke with us to the play. Brooke was very happy to see her!

On stage there were Turkey's, Indian Men, Indian Women, Corn Cob People, Pilgrim Women, Pilgrim Men and a Minister named Lennon. Yes, Lennon did a great job! :)

My photos are sort of dark here because we were a little to far away.

Here are 3 of our Pilgrim women Emma, Meleigh and Lindsay (L-R)

Ms. Chee-How's girls!

Since there were Tornado warnings this afternoon the play started just a bit late. The students were on lock down in the Hallways prior to the play so it gave us time to set up the camcorder to tape it. I guess in three more years we will do the same Thanksgiving play with Brooke's kindergarten class.

Squanto helped the Pilgrims plant corn. (Lindsay's Turkey Hand Says)

We are at the feast. Our Lindsay is obviously thirsty since she had a 102.7 fever last night. We were really happy her fever broke this morning in time to get her to school on time for the play.

Lindsay is very happy that she sits next to her B.F.F. Meleigh in class now. They get along very well and have since the first day of school.

Brookie and Mommy sitting in class.

Brooke, Lindsay and Daddy.

The Turkey project that Lindsay had to work on over our camping weekend about a month ago. Her Turkey is the third one from the right. We have to give Grandma credit for helping her design it!

Here is the whole proud display in the giant glass case at the end of the Kindergarten Hall.

More great showings of Imagination on the "Turkey Wall".

My 2 favorite girls in Ms. Chee-How's class.

MY 3 favorite girls in my life!

3 great Smiles!!

Congratulations to all the children in grade K today, you all put on an AWESOME PLAY!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!

ENJOY NEXT WEEK'S VACATION!!!

LINDSAY'S SCHOOL PHOTO 2011

Lindsay Cecile Bresnan

Age 5

Kindergarten

Boston Elementary School

Finally, we got our photos back. We are not used to having to buy our photos without seeing the proof first. I guess that is another thing that is different about being in "real" school versus pre-k.

As you can tell from all of my blog posts Lindsay is having a blast in Kindergarten this year. She has made lots of friends and has an awesome teacher. We hope to continue this trend in the years to follow at Boston!

The entire Kindergarten is putting on a play next week for Thanksgiving and that shall be the next blog event most likely. Stay tuned for more Bresnan Family events.
