More from the weekend...
The first nap! It's funny, in the crib she looks huge but in the bed she looks tiny again!
awww...mom SERIOUSLY??!!
I'm going to be in trouble for this picture but I love it. We made a VERY big deal out of the napping in the big girl bed. When she got up we greeted her with lots of praise and a bowl of mini m&m's. Of course the next morning when she slept in her bed all NIGHT for the first time she woke up at 6:30 a.m. crying "I want my m&m's". OOPS...maybe we went overboard a bit.
I think she likes her new bed! Sunday we managed to take a mid-morning nap after the 6:30 m&m request and then we went to church. After that we did some last minute shopping for me for the hospital bag and we picked up Lindsay a stool so she can climb in and out of her bed on her own. All in all we had a busy but good weekend. We finished off the weekend accepting an invite to a cookout over at Graison's house. Here are some cute pics of the girls in the pool.
Graison is swimming so well! She looks so proud of herself here!
Lindsay & Graison hanging out!
The girls spent an hour in the pool and another good while in the bath. Here they are having snack together before we drove home.
Thanks for having us Missy & Anthony. We had a nice relaxing evening (much needed) with you guys on Sunday night!Tomorrow is my last OB appt before the big day! I'll post with an update but we're very close. I've been having lots of contractions tonight so we'll see tomorrow if there's any new developments going on!

Playing in the Purple Room
We've been letting Lindsay enjoy her room this weekend. We're trying to get her used to it and comfortable in there. Here she is taking her bin with all her dishes out to the living room.
Here's a pic with the bed all done up and the new dresser placed as well. We're still waiting on a book shelf to arrive so her books and lamp are just tossed up there for now. Once we get that final piece in place we'll be finished with her room for a while.
Lindsay is eating "soup" at her table. Guess where she refilled her soup?? Notice the potty chair to the left side of the picture?? Too funny...
Bringing mommy "soup"
Feeding her new piggy bank she got from Aunt Kim, Kaley & Caroline for her birthday!
Giving Piggy a Kiss!We had success today! Lindsay took a nap in her big girl bed. She slept for THREE hours too. Her normal nap time is 1.5-2 hours max. We'll see how she does tonight. We rocked her as usual in the nursery and then put her in her bed for night, night. I'm curious to see if she wakes up in the middle of the night or not. When she did wake up from her nap today she didn't cry. She asked for her "dolly" that was sitting over on her table. She hasn't figured out that she can get out of the bed herself yet. I wonder how long that will take?
We had a nice evening tonight. Once Lindsay went down for her nap Mike and I did the same. All of us had a nice rest and then I cooked (seriously, I cooked again) a quick dinner and we took Lindsay to the park to swing. She had a blast at the park and it was nice and cool since it was after 8pm when we got there. We hit Brusters for ice cream on the way home. Mike and I shared a scoop (thank you Dr. Soufi) and Lindsay had her kiddie cone of Cotton candy explosion or as she calls it her "PINK ICE KEEM".
She went to bed late tonight but she napped til nearly 6:30 this evening so we knew there was no way she was going to bed at her usual time. At least tomorrow is Sunday!
I'm still planning on trying to work the first three days this week. I'm dreading it but considering how little I worked last week I could use the dough.
Obviously I should be in bed myself now. Seems I'm the late night blogger lately. Goodnight from big girl central...wish us luck tonight!

New Bed!
Here are some first pictures of the new bed being set up!
Lindsay calls it her house!
We're very excited!!!
Here's my 1.99 EBAY score. I thought this light switch cover was PERFECT for her room!
Lindsay has book and is ready for nap...however we still weren't! She's not happy with us as we put her down for her nap in the crib. She keeps telling us she wants to sleep in her bed but it didn't happen. I think tomorrow we'll try again since it will be a little lower key around here!I'll post more pics again when we get the room a little more pulled together but it surely is coming together nicely!
Mike Update: We met with the urologist yesterday and the function in his left kidney has improved some. It went from 5% to 18%. They would like to see 20-25% but in a two week period that isn't bad. They will probably do another function test down the road but for now they're ok with what we have. The next step is Mike is going to meet with another urologist in the same practice on Monday. He is the "new guy" so to speak and he specializes in laproscopic surgery. He will meet with Mike and review his CT Scan. The decision that has to be made at this point is whether or not this doctor feels he can get into the area of Mike's RIGHT kidney and remove the mass that is there. The mass is hanging off the kidney but it's high and in the back underneath the liver. It's an awkward place to reach apparently but if anyone can do it this would be the guy. If he says no, then he and his partner will do traditional surgery and go in and remove it. Same result either way but it would be a MUCH less invasive procedure if they can do it without having to cut him open again. We're planning the surgery either way to happen 3-4 weeks after I have the baby. Enough time for me to be somewhat recovered yet enough time for Mike to also be at a good place by the time I go back to work (12 weeks). It's basically going to depend on what kind of surgery he has on how we time it. So we should know more on Monday. Then we can focus on baby! Please continue to say prayers for Mike that this thing is non cancer and just a cyst. We have already been told it's suspicious for cancer but we're hoping for the best case and if it is then we're very happy to be getting out which ever way they have to do it!
Hope you are all having a great 4th! Stay tuned for pictures from our firework celebration tonight. Crossing our fingers for no rain!!!

More Big Girl Room
Lindsay trys out her new bed for the first time! She tells us she loves her PILLOWS!
The room is still a mess. Here is a shot of her touch lamp with the butterfly shade (found this at Pottery Barn Kids and had to have it!) Also her window treatments which still need ironing and the butterfly tie backs but here's the gist of it.
Lindsay helps daddy read the directions!
I love this photo!
Linds having fun playing in her tunnel. She used this to procrastinate going to bed last night. She was having so much fun. We're still waiting on her bed, dresser and book shelf to arrive. We also still need to steam clean her carpet one good time so we're not in decorating mode yet. We are letting her sort of play in the new room while she's home but she's still sleeping in the crib in the nursery. I'm trying to keep her out of the nursery other than that so she won't pull all the baby stuff out and go crazy. We asked her last night where she wanted to sleep and she told us her "new bed" but it didn't happen (see previous post). But, we'll try a nap today. Also, we asked her who was going to sleep in the crib now and she said "baby sister". My kid is SO SMART! It amazes me that she "gets it". We'll see how much she really gets it in less than two weeks! Of course the baby will be sleeping in the cradle in our room for a bit so Lindsay has plenty of time to adjust to her new bed. I can't wait to have her room more put together so we can take some nicer photos soon. The real decorating and hanging of pics etc probably won't happen til I'm on maternity leave and that's ok...I'm really looking forward to it!
