Update in Pictures

Friday night after after dinner we hit DQ for BLIZZARDS! Lindsay was enjoying her vanilla cup!
I love this smile! Her nutty outfit was the result of Wacky outfit day at school. It was supposed to be Wacky Wed but they had pictures that day so they did it on Friday. Lindsay wore a long sleeve Christmas pj top under a monkey tee shirt with rolled up pants and mismatched socks. She thought it was fun to dress silly for school!
Sunday my niece Mary was visiting from G-ville Florida so we all went up to Ellijay for a YUMMY dinner at my sisters. Lindsay loves to sit on her kitchen counter and play with all the Tupperware and pots she can. Here she is dumping cheerios back and forth in her measuring cups. She'll seriously do this for hours...we also tried out "pigtails" again that day!
Mary took this pic with my camera. I love the black and white and always forget to use it. Speaking of forgetting...somehow I did not get a single picture of my gorgeous niece not even with her and Lindsay together. SORRY Mary, I can't believe I did that. I have to get better about making sure I take more pics of everyone not JUST Lindsay. Good grief!
Tuesday night Lindsay and Mommy gave Max a good brushing. Soon he will get his first warm weather hair cut. I can't wait. I've been holding off because we keep getting these cold snaps. Max has been behaving nicely and doing very well since the loss of Midnight and Freckles. We're very proud of him!
Lindsay had fun brushing Max and telling him to Sit, Stay and Good boy! Oh and can you see our Hummer Limos in the driveway behind us? Yes, it's PROM SEASON!

I still have pics from our Monkey Joe's trip on Saturday. That will have to be another post. Also tonight we did a top secret BIRTHDAY project for Aunt Patti. I can't wait to blog about it but I can't ruin the surprise so ya'll have to wait. Along with that we went down to the lake and saw the real live ducks for the first time. Lindsay was very apprehensive at first but she had a blast. She can't wait to go back to see the "duckies" and we went special to buy a loaf of bread for the trunk so we can go back tomorrow after school. I have pics from that too so check back soon!

Rockin' and a Rollin', Movin' and a Shakin'

Hello Bloggers,

I just need to do a little pregnancy documentation here. Yesterday had to be the first day I have felt this new little girl of mine moving all over the place. I've been starting to feel more and more the last two weeks but now I'm really starting to notice a pattern! Yesterday morning and this morning as I type this she is just a kickin' away! It's still very subtle but it's enough to make me stop, take notice and smile! I just love this part. It feels like I've been waiting FOREVER to feel this kid start moving. I guess because I knew so early that I was pregnant and since it's my second time around I knew what I was looking forward to and couldn't wait. For me feeling the baby actually MOVING around inside of me is like the excitement of Christmas morning. This is the part I remember so fondly and the reason I really wanted and hoped to experience PREGNANCY again (not to mention the whole raising a kid part...ha!ha!).

The weirdest thing going on right now is that I'm waking up every night/morning at exactly the same time frame and I'm having trouble getting back to sleep. It seems her trampoline antics on my bladder wake me up around 3:30 every morning and when I look at the clock it's sort of like that movie Ground Hogs Day...it's like I say "ok, it must be 3:30" and it is! Worse yet, is crawling back in the bed knowing my alarm is going to go off at 5:15 and not getting back to sleep until 4! I don't remember the sleeping issues happening until the very end last time so I'm hoping this is just a short phase. Sheesh, we just get Lindsay sleeping again and now this one is keeping me up at night. At least I can just lay there and will her off my bladder...she's not making me watch BARNEY yet and she's not keeping Mike up. Of course, we'll know better next time around right? Poor second child won't get away with anything....

I have lots of new Lindsay pics to post from the weekend. Not sure I'll get around to it tonight as we have grocery shopping to do, dinner, bath and let's not forget American Idol!

Check back with me though I could suprise you!

America's Next Top Model?

Check out this pose of hers...and that face! Tyra would call this "FIERCE"! HA~

Oh and don't forget the RED patent leather shoes. We go back and forth between the black and the red. She's really becoming quite a little shoe girl.

Tonight we met up with Graison and her mommy and daddy. We tried out Monkey Joe's and went to dinner afterward. I have tons of pics but I'll have to put them up another day. It's late and this momma is tired!

Don't forget to SPRING FORWARD tonight!

New Ultrasound Pic

Here she is again. Everything looked great! We're actually measuring a whole WEEK ahead which is pretty cool. Who knows if she'll continue at that rate or not. If so, we may be looking at the first week of July instead of the second for a scheduled C-section! I personally was hoping for July 8 or 11th so we'll see. I'm sure my doc won't talk about setting dates until around 30 weeks.
The ultrasound was really cool and the doctor actually got some really neat angles that the tech did not get. Too bad the doc doesn't take the pictures they give you. We saw a wave and counted fingers and toes today. She is also weighing exactly one pound according to the measurements.

Mike and I stopped at DQ on the way home and I got my mint oreo blizzard too. It was EVERYTHING I have been thinking about the last two days since I saw the commercial. :)
Not much else new to tell. I'm still nursing the crud. Turns out I have bronchitis and am now on a high dose antibiotic. I'm praying that in a couple of days I will feel much better and can start getting some stuff done! Time changes this weekend and I'm super happy about that. I'm ready for some after dinner walks at the park again!

Have a great rest of the week everyone!

CRAVING!!

I'm SOOOO getting one of these today!

First Pigtails!

We tried out "pigtails" today. Lindsay really liked them too.
Hanging out in the booster seat...on the floor...again.
We are now officially into shoes like the BIG GIRLS!
Look how smart she is to stand up and hold on to the bed post.
I just LOVE this picture! She's SO proud of herself!
Riding horsey!

Our new potty chair. Lindsay has been calling it "my potty" all day. This one is pretty cool since the top fits on the big potty and the green bottom half flips over and doubles as a step stool. We actually got her to sit on it on the big potty today (fully dressed) but it's a start!
We can play with the potty for a while and get used to it.
Well, I know what this LOOKS like but it's not...LOL. She's looking for the balls she placed in the bottom. However, it will be fun to show her this picture when she's 21 and tell her she tied one on this afternoon!
Yay! Anything to please mommy and avoid nap time!
Aunt KK bought this new tub toy for Lindsay. She was singing "twinkle twinkle little star" and playing along at the same time. I know she's mine and I'm biased but I really think she's going to be a musical genious!

These last two pics were taken by KK on the Easter aisle at Wally World. Lindsay decided she wanted to play with the m&m's guys on the floor.
Here she is standing them all up. Of course we had to buy a couple for the ol' Easter basket while we were there...

We've had a crazy no sleep week ya'll. Lindsay came home from Grandma & Grandpa's house last Sunday and decided to pull an ALL NIGHTER. She continued every night this week to wake between 2-4 or 3-5. Needless to say mommy and daddy were pretty much wrecked by the end of the week. We finally talked to the pediatrician who confirmed to us what many other parents have been telling us...let her CRY it out. So Thursday night we were prepared to do just that and she slept like an angel! WHEW! However, last night she was up at 1:45 and cried for a full hour before she gave up on us and went back to sleep. It was SO hard to let her cry for that long. Not to mention it's not just crying at this age. She calls us! "Mommy, DADDY, hold you..." it's heartwrenching!! However, we did make it through and she went down tonight with minimal fuss. For whatever reason these days "night night" is just the worst thing ever. You'd think we were leading her off to slaughter during the whole bedtime routine. I will be VERY happy to end this phase whatever it is. I know we probably have a few more nights of the cry it out syndrome but hopefully she'll begin to realize she's not going to party in the living room with daddy anymore at 3am and she'll figure out a way to soothe herself back to sleep.
So there you have it bloggers, this is why I was MIA this last week. Mike and I are finally on the last leg of this flu bug and we've really been struggling with the sleep issue. I'm hoping this week will be much better. No one informed me that I was giving up sleep for Lent. HELLO?!

In baby news we have our next ultrasound this Tuesday and I can't wait. I'm starting to feel a little more movement each day now. No big kicks yet of course but lots of flutters. This pregnancy has been VERY different than my last. However the two constants have been PIZZA and Chinese food! Ha!ha! Oh well, I know I'll be limiting all that come the third trimester as it will be hot and my ankles will be HUGE again. I know I will have to start really watching the sodium soon but for now I'm enjoying it.
We still have not picked out a name. We're not even down to a few we're considering seriously. Hopefully that will come soon. We had Lindsay firmed up by March and she was born in June so we're not doing that bad I suppose. I really have a fear of still trying to decide a name while we're in the hospital. I feel like that would be too much pressure. I'm sure something will finally come to mind soon. I'm still taking suggestions...

Have a great weekend everyone. :)
