Graison's 2nd Birthday Party- Sun 11/4/07

Lindsay sits at the table like a big girl at Waffle House. Mommy and Daddy were an hour early due to the time change so we went out for breakfast!
Graison's mom and grandmother put together a "fall festival" style bday party. Here are the prize buckets for each child to take home full of loot!
Each station had a different game. Here is the Fish Pond. It was a big hit with the bigger kids!
The Princess Bouncy House! Obviously a main attraction!
The birthday girl would not come out! Here she is with Mom in the background.
Of course us big kids had to get in on the action!
Caylin did a great job looking out for the little ones in the bouncy. Here she was trying to help Lindsay see that she could jump. At first, Lindsay would only sit and bounce. It did not take her long to figure out her footing though, as you will see further down.

Graison's close up! (This pic is her mommy's fave)
Mike looking for a way out!!!!!!!!!
Daddy & Lindsay having fun!
Linds spent a lot of time at the lollipop tree. She didn't realize she could eat them at first.
Each child had tickets to use to play each game. Lindsay thought the tickets were cool! Here she is heading off with her bucket and her tickets ready for the first game!

The Duck Pond was a big hit with the wittle ones. Graison and Lindsay looking for the duck with the highest number on the bottom. It's all about the prizes man!
Or maybe, for Lindsay, it was all about the ducks! Look at that face! "Who me? Duck thief? Whatever do you mean???" It was one of her first words people!
Lindsay plays the ring toss game
The bean bag toss!
She was a little tentative about the face painting!

Why are you rubbing that Qtip on my face?
Daddy picked a "sun" for Lindsay's face since she is the sunshine of his life! Seriously, I don't make this stuff up. HA!
I had to take a pic of the Carmel apples. YUMMY!
Daddy's job was to run the lollipop game. The older girls spent lots of tickets on this game!

Here is Lindsay's friend Zoe! This is my sister in law's sister's daughter. Got that? She has FOUR girls ranging from 4yrs-2months old. Zoe & Lindsay are two months apart.

Here's her big sis Hadley! What a pretty butterfly!
Check out Lindsay & Zoe bouncing. This was a great action shot of Linds.
My bouncin' baby girl!
For all you Georgia fans! Caylin did not appreciate it when I suggested a yellow jacket or Gator for another place on her face.
Lindsay was so funny giving kisses through the mesh fencing.

Another FIRST...this is Lindsay's first lollipop.
Lindsay's newest word is "baby". She says it whenever she sees another child no matter how old they are. She kept going over to Kiri's car seat to check her out. (oops I forgot to put up a pic of sweet Kiri and their other sister Riley too)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!!
Maybe someone else in our house is contemplating the idea of another baby???
Linds & Zoe share a lap...

... And a kiss
SOOOO SWEET! They were a sticky mess too!
I just love this picture of me with the girls.
As the day wound down it started to get chilly. However, this did not hinder us from bouncing!

Lindsay and Graison have matching coats on. I put this picture up to really show you the air that Graison is getting. Check her out in mid bounce behind Lindsay who is also maintaining her balance quite well!
The party was an absolute blast. I think the big kids and little kids all had fun! Thanks for the invite Miss G! You're family threw you quite a fabulous party!
HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY! I can hardly believe you're 2!!
Love you girl!

A New Word for Lindsay

CHUCK E. CHEESE (Lindsay says "chucky")
This was the only Chuck E. she would get let near her. She didn't like the animated one or the real one walking around the restaurant.
Graison shows Lindsay the ropes on her FIRST visit to Chuck E. Cheese!
Having fun on the carousel.
G was having fun although we couldn't catch a smile. She was enjoying sitting next to the token slot so she could put a new token in each time.
Lindsay has now officially had the Chucky experience. She was off and running as soon as we got there. It was difficult to even get her to eat. Thanks Missy for inviting us!!
I have several pictures from Graison's 2nd Birthday party to post but no time tonight. Lindsay has a doc appt tomorrow to recheck that ear. Please pray that her ears are no longer infected. We really need a break on this now. We're going to inquire about the whole tube thing and when/if we should start looking at that option.
Have a great week everyone! I'll try to get back here again tomorrow with more pics.
Donna- we love and miss you!! Hope you're coming home soon!

More pics and my SHOPPING HIGH

Just because you all know how many outfits Linds had for Halloween I had to show off one more. This came from my family in Orlando (Kimmie Kay's Sister Shelly) as a handme down from her kids. It says "I go Batty for treats". It's sort of more like Pj's so she wore it as such.
Showing off the "bat wings"
Here is Lindsay trying out what is going to be one of her big Christmas gifts this year. I scored this on the Gwinnett Consignment sale for 15$. He makes neighs and galloping noises and sings the song Home on the Range when you press his ear. This horsey goes for much more than 15$ and I was very happy that my friend Christi spotted this one for me. We've been looking for months at horsey's and this one was exactly what we were looking for and for a steal! Oh, we're using horsey in our Christmas photo shoot (or at least I have a dream) so we're allowing her to play with horsey now to get comfortable with him. After our photo shoot (next Sunday) horsey is going to disappear until Christmas. So nice that we can easily do that this year and it's no big deal to her. It's not like she'll notice really. Can't you just see him with a big red bow sitting in front of the tree on Christmas morning!?
Lindsay pointing out horsey's NOSE.
Giving horsey a kiss!
So here is my shopping high for today. Mike and I went to Old Navy tonight and the Halloween Costumes are 75% off. I scored this Lady Bug for next year. I know it sounds crazy but I paid 8 dollars for Lindsay's witch on consignment and I got this BRAND NEW WITH TAGS for 4.32 after the sale and my stuff and save discount! GOTTA LOVE IT! I also bought one in the next size up for Lindsay's BFF Graison. I figure even if she ends up not wearing it, ie...I find something cuter next September, I can EBAY it for goodness sake for more than I paid easily! I'm stoked!
Here is the back of the costume. So if you really know me and you know how much I love hearts, you now know why I had to have this costume! Just precious. I debated on a Lady Bug this year so I think I'll be good with it for next year. Oh, but let's hope for a cooler Halloween next year otherwise she'll ROAST in this thing.
Finally, Lindsay would like to send a BIRTHDAY SHOUT OUT to her BFF Graison! Little Miss Graison is 2 years old today! We're spending all day Sunday at her house for her Fall Festival themed Birthday Party complete with Pink Barbie Jumpy House. I'm sure we'll have tons of pics next week from that party. Also, the adults are looking foward to getting some time in the giant Jumpy before the party starts and the kiddies arrive. That ought to make for some blog material I'd say!
Have a great weekend all!!

Halloween '07 Part Two (it's LONG)

Ok, here are the rest of the Halloween pics. I couldn't decide what to post so I just put them up. I weeded out several I swear. We had such a great time this year. Lindsay was more enthusiastic than I even thought she would be. She couldn't really figure it all out but she knew something fun was definitely going on! Happy Halloween! Lindsay & Mommy in their Witch gear!
She only wore her hat a few times so we tried hard to get pics when we could.
Derek & Adam's cat Grayson decided to help out Lindsay's costume and be her personal cat for the evening!
Here we all are before trick or treat. Couldn't catch a smile here from Linds. Special thanks to my sister Pat and neice Donna for picking out my hat for me and Lindsay's treat bag!
Adam the Blue Power Ranger age 5 and Derek the ninja age 8.
The gang ready for trick or treat. Dave's mom got in on the action with us!
Check out the pirate ship in somebody's driveway. How awesome is this neighborhood?
Pretty cool...as soon as Derek got off the school bus his first words were "did you see the pirate ship?!!!"
Here was another little witch. I loved how they "pimped her ride". I wish I had thought of that!!

Mr. Pumpkin Man. (Not a big hit with the under 2 set)
The Fire Trucks come to lead the parade
Here is another awesome pic of the Pirate ship.
Complete with fog and steam!!! So cool!
All the people in front of us as we head down to the culdesac where the pizza party is held.

Lindsay's ride in the parade.
Adam & his buddy Ryan. This is probably the last time I saw the two of them until they finished trick or treating!
Derek's friend Becca was nice enough to pose for a picture with Lindsay. I have pics of her and Derek from every Halloween since 2001.
Check out little Miss rooting around in mommy's diaper bag!

ahhhh...found it!

Lindsay loves her chick fil a nuggets. A much better choice for her than pizza.
Aunt Helen on drink duty! We're so bad about remembering to get pics of everyone else. Sorry, Dave...I don't think I got a single picture of you. We have to remember at the holidays to take pictures of everyone and not just the kids!
Notice the blurry picture? That's cause she's WALKING fast!!! GO Lindsay! My prayers were answered. I really wanted her to be walking by Halloween! That was mommy's "TREAT"!
Lindsay's first Trick or Treat house. Check out this lady we don't even know mugging for the camera! Ha!ha! Lindsay wasn't too sure here but she quickly got the hang of it.
Another spooky house! We didn't make it all the way to the door here....

Lindsay says "thank you"
We got her to wear her hat here! She was very into the giant "apple"
My cutie pie!
Our traditional picture. This house puts up this arch every year. I have several years worth of pictures under this arch. This would be Lindsay's third one if you count 2005 when I was pregnant with her.
Lindsay had a blast! Daddy was working hard too! Check out her treat bag here. Isn't it perfect with her costume?

Daddy's little witch! Here they are heading back to the house after hitting some 20 doors up for candy!
Lindsay gets in her last trick or treat with Aunt Helen.
Overtaking Adam's pumpkin here.
Lindsay in her "scaredy cat" pj's looking like a NINJA CHICK!
Lindsay doesn't discriminate. She'll play with the Knight's castle and the swords and knives. It will be princess and Barbie soon enough I'm sure!
Ok...if you're still reading my blog THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!!!
